Fish Creek Brightwater Fly Rods

The Fish Creek Brightwater Fly Rod Series are an excellent fly rod for beginners to advanced intermediate anglers. This series of fly rods is designed by T.L. Johnson and incorporate solid features not often found in rods in this price range.

1. Blanks are an attractive plum color built on solid proven IM6 technology.
2. The stripper guide is a 316 stainless hialoy ring with 7-316 stainless single foot guides plus the tip top.
3. The brown rod windings are tight and the winding epoxy is cleanly applied with no footballing.
4. The uplocking reel seat is aluminum with Cocobolo insert.
5. The reel slide ring is generous enough to comfortably hold most reels.
6. The single locking ring easily locks your reel securely in place.
7. The cork grip is high quality cork in a western style with a cutout for the top reel foot.
8. The medium-fast action has a crisp feel and loads the rod with only 20 feet of line off the tip top instead of the usual 30 feet. (Terry Johnson builds in plenty of backbone in all his rod designs. See my review of this rod. On grass casting I consistently got 62 feet accurate casts.)
