Fly Fishing Colorado - Featuring Orvis Fly Fishing Tackle

The Stores at Fly Fishing Colorado feature fine fly fishing tackle and products from Orvis, the world's oldest outfitter founded in 1854.

Since their founding in 1854, Orvis has been manufacturing high quality fly rods, reels and lines. The advances in technology have allowed Orvis to make the lighest fly rods on the planet. The ZG Helios and the Helios Ion. Thoughout the years, Orvis has guaranteed their products. To last over 150 years in the outfitting business, you would have to be good. Orvis offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee on their products. Over the many years I have used Orvis fly fishing tackle, I have had to use their guarantee only twice. Both times I was 100% satisfied with the results. So you can shop with confidence.

How well does Orvis make their fly rods. Well, I still use a 6 ft 1/2 in, 2pc, 4wt Golden Eagle from the early 1980s to fish my favorite small trout stream in the fall. The Golden Eagle will roll cast a 2 or 3 nymph rig out to 30 feet just fine. That is pretty impressive for a 27 year old fiberglass fly rod. On July 26, 2006, I used my Golden Eagle to catch and release 125 fish in a 4 hour period during a heavy caddis hatch.

I not only recommend Orvis products but fish them as well.

When you Click the Visit Store Button after making your selection, you will be taken to the Orvis store for continued shopping or checkout. All financial and personal details remain with Orvis. Fly Fishing Colorado receives a small commission for referring the sale to Orvis.
