The Colorado Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Colorado Alpine Angling Classic 6/7/08 held at Bartle Lakes was tremendous success. The angling event raised $21,200 for the Foundation. The winner caught 41 fish of 4 different species! Three different anglers reported that they had caught the largest fish of their lives and the largest fish of the day was in excess of 5 lbs – way to go, Mike Beatty (pictured here)!

Almost every angler reported seeing lots of fish and lots of large fish. Several anglers reported hitting "honey holes" that were chock full of fish.
Many people contributed to the success of the event by contributing awesome breakfast burritos and green chili, wings, tent, signage and official logo, hats, fishpond fly boxes for swag, to making sure the fishermen had their beats correct and fish totals were tallied correctly to transportation, setup and takedown of the equipment.
A special thanks to Kevin Kasparek and his family for hosting the event and providing Bartle Lakes for the event. Kevin and his family worked very hard to make this event a success.
