Colorado Fly Fishing Conditions – 9/08/08

This is a bit late getting out. But I have been fishing and at the Fly Fishing Retailers Trade show.

Scott McCaslin reported on 9/8/08 that he was with some clients at Bartles Lake north of Jefferson, Colorado.  (Private Lake but has large trout).  The flying ant pattern produced well for his clients. The ant pattern was about the only pattern that produced consistently today.  Scott works for Flyfisher Guide Service.  Trips with Scott may be booked through the Flyfisher Guide Service.

(Editor Note: We are in fall fly fishing mode in Colorado.  Terresterials such as ant patterns in black and red fished under overhanging trees limbs or along the bank of meadow streams can produce some excellent fish.)
