Fishing report from Guide and Owner of www.coloradotrouthunters.com, Tad Howard.

Fishing has been hot. Spinny on fire.  Dream stream high but fishing well. Deckers closed due to fire.  Probably back open soon.  Smaller creeks running clear and fishing well.  Some are actually starting to get a bit warm.

Generally the best fishing I have seen in a few years for this time of year.

What has been working?
Dry-dropper stimmi-#14-16 bead dropper. Copper John,  Pheasant Tails and caddis droppers working well about 2 feet down.  Some stones around.  Green drakes. red quills (Editor: cool looking fly in the adult stage), hoppers, midges, pmd’s and caddis all working depending on time and location.  At spinney still getting fish on callabeitis.

Here are a few pics of what Tad helps his clients catch and release.

With trout like these to catch, why go to the San Juan.  For the Colorado Guided Fly Fishing Trip of your life, contact Tad Howard at www.coloradotrouthunters.com  303-325-5515
