Colorado Fly Fishing Report January 2009

This report is late but preparations and attendance at the Denver Fly Fishing Show got in the way.

Anyway, here we go. On New Years Day, the ladies from Colorado Women Flyfishers made their first fishing trip of the year to the South Platte River at Deckers, Colorado. The ladies had a successful day fly fishing the South Platte with most hooking up with one or more fish.

In the middle of December, Larry was on the South Platte River between Mineral Ave and C470. Larry said that in a couple hours of fishing he did land one 17 inch rainbow. But that was it for that day fishing.

If you can find open water in Colorado, fly fishing is still available so get out there and go for it.
